Before you start
Only photos with usable location metadata can place a pin on a map. Screenshots, downloads and shared images may have had that metadata removed.
What to check
Choose your own files in the browser, review the resulting points and remove locations you do not want to reveal before sharing an image.
- Check an original photo for GPS coordinates; shared copies often lack them.
- Use the Photo Map with your own file and confirm the pin before sharing it.
